3. Cookies and local storage

This site does not use tracking cookies or analytics. We use your browser's local storage only to remember whether you have dismissed the notice banner on this site. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

4. How we use your data

We use what you give us only for the reason you gave it:

  • Send you batch updates and homecoming announcements if you signed up for them.
  • Review your partner inquiry or map pin submission, and reply to you (and to anyone you asked us to loop in).
  • Show your map pin on the Blue Pages once approved, using only the public-safe fields (name, location, category, description, links, logo).
  • Verify your pledge or raffle order and record it against the batch fund.
  • Send transactional emails — confirmations, receipts, status updates.

We won't use your data for unrelated marketing, and we won't sell or rent it to anyone.

5. Who we share data with

We use third-party services to run this site. These providers process your data only as instructed by us and are bound by their own privacy commitments:

  • Hosting provider — serves the website and the functions that process form submissions.
  • Database provider — stores the form submissions, pledges, raffle orders, map pins, and account profiles.
  • Email delivery service — sends our transactional emails (signup confirmations, inquiry receipts, status updates).
  • Map tile and geocoding services — used when you search for or pin a location. These see only the search text or coordinates you submit, not your identity.
  • Payment processor — if you make a card payment for a raffle order or pledge, the payment details are handled directly by the processor, not stored by us.

We don't share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

6. How we protect your data

The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted securely. Access to submitted data is limited to designated batch organizers signed in to the admin area. Database access is gated by row-level security, so even within our team, sensitive submissions are visible only to admins. We don't store card numbers or bank credentials.

7. How long we keep your data

Different data has different retention:

  • Email signups — kept through the 2026 homecoming. After the event we'll delete the list or offer you the option to stay subscribed to future batch communications.
  • Partner inquiries — kept until your inquiry is resolved, plus a reasonable record-keeping window so we can refer back if you reach out again. Archived after that.
  • Map pin submissions — approved pins stay live for as long as you want them up. You can ask us to remove yours at any time. Rejected submissions are kept briefly so we don't accidentally re-review the same one.
  • Pledges and raffle orders — kept as part of the batch fund record. Required for accounting and to confirm your contribution to the homecoming.
  • Account profile — kept while your account is active. Delete on request.

You can request deletion of any of the above at any time (see Section 8).

8. Your rights under RA 10173

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the following rights:

  • Right to be informed Know what personal data we collect, how we use it, and with whom we share it.
  • Right to access Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure Ask us to delete your personal data from our records.
  • Right to object Object to the processing of your personal data.
  • Right to data portability Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Right to damages Seek compensation if your rights under RA 10173 have been violated.

9. For visitors outside the Philippines

If you submit a form on this site from outside the Philippines, here's how this policy applies to you.

Where your data is processed. Our hosting, database, and email-delivery providers run on cloud infrastructure outside the Philippines (primarily in the United States). When you submit a form, your data crosses borders to reach those services. We rely on encryption in transit and at rest, plus the standard contractual safeguards our providers maintain for international transfers, to protect it during that journey.

EU and UK residents. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the same rights as visitors in the Philippines — access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection — plus the right not to be subject to a decision made solely by automated processing that has a legal or similarly significant effect. We don't do that kind of automated decision-making; every inquiry, pin submission, and data request on this site is reviewed by a person from the batch. The legal basis for what we collect remains your consent — you submitted the form voluntarily.

Right to complain to your local authority. If you're an EU resident, you can lodge a complaint with your country's data protection authority (for example, the ICO in the UK, the CNIL in France, the AEPD in Spain — or your local equivalent). You can also reach the same outcomes through our data request form below or by contacting us directly.

Other jurisdictions. If your local privacy law gives you specific rights beyond what's listed here — California's CCPA, Singapore's PDPA, others — note it in your data request and we'll handle it accordingly.

10. Submit a data request

To exercise any of the rights above, complete the form below. We will respond within 15 business days.

Request received. We'll get back to you within 15 business days.

11. How to file a complaint with the NPC

If you believe your data privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC):

  • Website: privacy.gov.ph
  • Email: complaints@privacy.gov.ph
  • Address: 5th Floor, Delegation Building, PICC Complex, Pasay City

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project develops. Material changes will be noted with a new effective date at the top of this page.
